Congratulations to Learning Tree Farm for receiving a $2,500 Community Support Grant from The Centerville-Washington Foundation! The grant was awarded in April 2020 for their Saturday Family Fun Series Sponsorship.
"Learning Tree Farm is a working farm that is committed to providing hands-on learning experiences for children and families who otherwise might not have access to a traditional farm setting." Learning Tree Farm has 85 acres which includes a working farm and an outdoor education center. On the property, there is much to see, including the Tobacco Barn and the Bank Barn. Both barns house the farm animals. There is also the Century House (built in 1829) which is a pioneer museum. There are miles of hiking trails as well as a garden which teaches how local and seasonal fruits, vegetables, and herbs are grown. Sadly, Learning Tree Farm is currently closed due to Covid-19. Rest assured, though, that the farm is a flurry of activity when it is open!
We celebrate you, Learning Tree Farm, for all you do to make an impact in our community!
