The Centerville-Washington Foundation announces it has awarded $15,000 to the following organizations: Pink Ribbon Good (formerly Pink Ribbon Girls) to help feed PRG clients and their loved ones; Breast Wishes Foundation to grant a wish from a breast cancer patient; Centerville Community Chorus to support the group’s 2024 performance campaign; Food2Go for weekend meals for children; First Dawn Food Pantry to fund household cleaning and personal hygiene items for the underserved; Centerville-Washington History to assist with its Outdoor Rural Education Center (OREC); Closet TRANSformation Inc. to provide for expansion of services; Heart of Centerville & Washington Township to provide support for its community-wide events; and the City of Centerville to support the Stubbs Park Veterans Memorial Update.

The Foundation funds projects in the areas of arts and humanities, civic affairs, environment, education, health, or social services. Projects can be funded for three consecutive years. “This foundation and its many supporters are committed to providing assistance to local organizations that are engaged in programming to make a difference in the lives of our community and its residents. These Community Support Grants in combination with the Foundation’s $10,000 Community Impact Grant are the way we accomplish that. We always receive interesting and worthy applications,” said Scott Colwell, chair of the Foundation’s grant committee.

The Foundation will review applications for the Community Impact Grant in September and announce the recipient(s) in late October. In addition, the Foundation has established a Diversity Grant for which the application process and can be found on the Foundation’s website at centervillewashingtonfoundation.com/grants.

The Community Support Grant recipients were honored at the Foundation’s annual Founders Event on Wednesday, May 29, at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace.
