Centerville-Washington Foundation Announces Brad Bucher Fund Established

The Centerville-Washington Foundation, founded in 1998, is proud to announce the establishment of the Brad Bucher Elk Pride Never Dies Memorial Fund. Mr. Bucher was a 1975 graduate of Centerville High School and an avid supporter of students attending his alma mater.

After Brad’s passing, Bob Crawford, also a Centerville graduate and a supporter of Centerville athletics, became the steward for these funds and entrusted them to the Centerville-Washington Foundation. Crawford offered these comments: “Brad was a very close friend. While I am extremely saddened by his passing, I know he wanted to have a local organization to manage the assets of this fund. Together, we believed that the Centerville-Washington Foundation would fulfill his dream of giving back to Centerville High School for many years."

The Foundation funds projects in the areas of arts and humanities, civic affairs, environment, education, health, diversity and social services.

Over the years, the Foundation has supported many projects in the City and Township. Among them are support for the Centerville City Schools, social programs including Food 2 Go, programs sponsored by the Centerville-Washington Park District and Washington-Centerville Public Library, and needs of the local police and fire departments.

The Centerville-Washington Foundation exists to be a community partner for corporate and individual charitable giving, functioning in the formation and preservation of charitable

donations, providing services to donors and nonprofit organizations, and serving as a source of funds for community groups.
