As a graduate of Centerville High School and attorney at Auman, Mahan & Furry, Mr. Carr has been dedicated to civic engagement, with an emphasis on finding your “village” in the community.
Central to Mr. Carr’s philosophy is the belief in active civic engagement and the power of community support. Many are familiar with Mr. Carr through his involvement with the Washington-Centerville Library Board and the Centerville-Washington Foundation, his volunteer support of Centerville High School's Mock Trial, or the role of “sign guy” on several local levy campaigns.
With a distinguished career spanning decades and a heart dedicated to service, Mr. Carr has left an indelible mark on the Centerville-Washington Township community and beyond.
Tickets for the fundraising luncheon are $65, with opportunities to be recognized as a sponsor and support community grants. Doors will open at 11:00 am for an opportunity to visit with the honoree and prior grant recipients to learn about their projects. A plated lunch will be served at 11:45 am with presentations starting shortly after. The Foundation will provide an overview of its grant program and recognize recent grant recipients before introducing Richard Carr.
